A native New Yorker, Spiegelman moved to the Valley in 1987 to pursue a master of fine arts degree in photography at Arizona State University.

In her most recent exhibition, “Deja,” Spiegelman paired portraits that she made in 2001 and earlier, with new portraits of the same individuals taken in 2006, creating a group of images that document the subtle and dramatic changes that occur over time.

Her photographs have been published in national magazines such as American Craft and Smart Money. Spiegelman’s work has been exhibited nationally at venues such as the Midtown Y Gallery in New York, Deutser Gallery in Houston and Arizona State University.
