“Every love is an exercise in depersonalization on a body without organs yet to be formed, and it is at the highest point of this depersonalization that some- one can be named, receives his or her family name or first name, acquires the most intense discernibility in the instantaneous apprehension of the multiplicities belonging to him or her, and to which he or she belongs.”
- Gilles Deleuze, A Thousand Plateaus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia
“All and None of the Above” is inspired from the book of A Thousand Plateaus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia written by Gilles Deleuze Felix Guattari. The book sheds light on the expansion of multiplicities and how being and becoming are truly never static, nor is creation. The body of work by Del Rosario is extended from her previous collage works made last year turned into oil paintings. The multi-process making of different mediums, serves the idea that each creation and decision is an endless connection from another. After all, we are just machines in search of connection, love, and desire. From each fragmented scrap cut-outs of paper to layers of oil paint, it is hard to depict what actually happens from the in-between of time and space from its initiation to its final form, if there really is one.
