Eye Lounge presents: Of Sound Mind

Eye Lounge is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition, “Of Sound Mind,” a solo exhibition by Alison Auditore.

Art and music both allow us to build worlds of our own that can be shared with others. They pave paths of reflection in ways that make them two of the most precious and intimate human experiences, even more so when they are used together.

“Of Sound Mind” seeks to highlight the extraordinary impact music has on the creation of visual art—music can translate the thoughts and passions the artist puts into their work into something that is felt by the viewer. Described as, “the way we decorate time,” music has been instrumental (pun intended) to Alison’s creative process for each of the works presented. A playlist of the music behind each portrait will be played throughout the exhibition, providing viewers the opportunity to connect to the work in a blend of visual and auditory experiences. By calling attention to the way music impacts and adds to the creation of visual art, this exhibit celebrates the collaborative spirit of creation between the two and so creates a space of wonder.

Alison’s work is an expression of her fascination with the tensions and constant states of change present in life, and it aims to provide a space for conversation and reflection on these themes.

The exhibition will be on display from May 16th 2025 to June 16th 2025 with an opening reception taking place from May 16th 6pm to 9pm. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
