Shorty Greene : Love Don’t Speak Like That

  • eye lounge 922 North 5th Street Phoenix, AZ, 85004 United States (map)

In her first solo show, Love Don’t Speak Like That, Shorty Greene considers the constant cycle between loss and resilience in life. The exhibition showcases new mixed-media collages, photographs, and her own private collection of polaroid postcards. Greene pairs the odds and ends of universal human experience as she explores how the fortitude from collapsing encounters has been both a positive and a negative force in her life—a cosmic shower of riches and tragedies. Greene invites viewers to explore the single narrative triptychs found within the exhibition. Coupled with the larger conversation all the artworks have with each other; as a way to connect to their own heavenly cycle. The blending and pulling of moments, influenced across private experiences.
