The opening reception for the work of three artists, Bob Galloway, Oliver Hughes, and Dean Terasaki will be Friday, April 17 from 6-9 PM at Eye Lounge / Modified Arts. Together they present very different approaches to contemporary photographic practice. Bob Galloway creates temporal images that will vanish within a life cycle, similar to the organic material used to create them. Oliver Hughes interprets current events through a biblical lens, as a way to focus on timeless issues. Dean Terasaki makes montages using historical letters written by Japanese Americans illegally "relocated" into WWII concentration camps and mailed to his family's pharmacy, combined with his contemporary photographs of those sites. Friday’s reception is open to the public. Eye Lounge at Modified Arts is located at 407 E. Roosevelt in Phoenix, AZ. Please join us for some great conversation and community.
