AXIOM

AXIOM is a solo exhibition of new work by Modified Arts Gallery’s Resident Artist, Member Alison Auditore.

Alison Auditore is a visual artist and illustrator who specializes in delicate line work and stippling. There is an almost fragile, ethereal quality to her compositions, but zoom in, and you will see fine details revealing bodies of work heavy with meaning and expression. Her art asks you to join her in zooming in to understand the world around you.

In this latest body of work, Auditore asks viewers to consider what it means to have world-altering knowledge in the palms of their hands—knowledge that can bring joy for one moment, and despair in the next. Each work explores the intoxicating effect that comes with being able to dismiss or enable entire world views with nothing more than the swipe of a finger.

AXIOM will feature the debut of At the Altar, Auditore’s largest work to date and a piece centered on this experience.

AXIOM will be on display from August 21 – September 13, and an opening reception is planned for August 21 from 6 PM – 9 PM. The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.
